丽莎（英文名：Glaiza Marie Belarga），菲律宾籍，文学院2017级比较教育学硕士研究生，目前在山东济南市庆铃汇美国际幼儿园从事外籍教师工作。在校期间获“优秀毕业国际学生”荣誉称号。

My name is Glaiza Marie Belarga, and my Chinese name is 丽莎. I am from the Philippines. I am currently working as a homeroom English teacher at Qingling Huimei International Kindergarten in Jinan, Shandong. In my role, I focus on creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for young learners, helping them develop their English language skills through interactive activities and play-based learning.

I pursued my studies at Yanbian University, where I was a recipient of the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) program from 2016 to 2020. My academic journey began with a one-year Chinese language program, followed by a three-year master's degree in Comparative Education, which I completed in 2020. This comprehensive education provided me with a solid foundation in both language proficiency and educational theories.

Throughout my time at Yanbian University, I achieved several milestones. I consistently received honorary credentials for being one of the best students in my Chinese language program at the end of each semester. During my master's program, with the invaluable support of my adviser, I published two articles and my thesis, which focused on inclusive primary education in the Philippines. Additionally, I actively participated in various school activities, including sports events and performances for foreign students. Upon graduation, I was honored to receive the Best Foreign Student Award.

Studying at Yanbian University has been transformative for me. I not only learned Korean and Chinese languages, but I also formed lasting friendships with fellow international students. This experience has contributed significantly to my holistic development as an individual, enhancing my cultural awareness and adaptability.

My education at Yanbian University has been instrumental in my professional development. The knowledge I gained about the Chinese education system, particularly through my studies in comparative education, has equipped me with the skills necessary to navigate and thrive in my current role as an English teacher in China. The language skills I acquired have also facilitated effective communication with my colleagues and students.
